Event Description

Cupid's Undie Run is a 'mile-ish' run in your bedroom-best on Valentine's weekend. No, we're not crazy, we're just crazy serious about raising money for The Children's Tumor FoundationFestivities start at noon on Saturday, February 9th 2013, then we strip down for the Undie Run at 2pm, have our fun and come back for post-race festivities and awards. 

What we'll be doing

The first shift will be helping set up the race and registration area, and will be checking racers in as they arrive.  The second shift will also be checking folks in, but will additionally be helping to marshal the race and break it down afterward.

What you should know

We will be providing T-shirts. Although this is an undie run we need all volunteers in pants please.  You might also want to weaar comfortable shoes and layers, as we'll be outside for a lot of the event.

Where to meet

We'll be meeting at the Brass Monkey, a bar at the end of Little West 12th Street.  The first shift will meet at 10, the second shift at 1.  Feel free to sign up for both!

Organization: Children's Tumor Foundation

The Children's Tumor Foundation is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF), the term for three distinct disorders: NF1, NF2 and schwannomatosis. Our mission is to advance peer-reviewed research to develop treatments and cures for NF; support persons with NF and their families by making thorough and accurate information readily available; assist in developing clinical centers and best practices to improve access to quality healthcare for those who live with NF; and expand public awareness of NF to improve diagnoses, increase understanding of the challenges that NF presents, and encourage support for NF research.

Transit: Take the A,C or E train to 14th Street, walk west to Washington St, turn left, then walk down to Little West 12th and turn right. The Brass Monkey is practically on the water.
